Fighting to Protect Winstanley’s Greenbelt
Winstanley Greenbelt is under threat from a high‑risk development that puts our landscape, heritage and community at permanent risk. The scheme is being sold as the only way to “save” Winstanley Hall – but the evidence shows major environmental concerns, irreversible heritage loss and no guaranteed restoration. We’re here to make sure residents and decision‑makers get the full facts, not the filtered version. Once this greenbelt is gone, it’s gone for good. Our community deserves better than a rushed, risky deal with consequences we can’t undo.
Join us in protecting Winstanley’s greenbelt – before it’s too late!
Re-development NOT Restoration
The proposed development by Kingswood Homes, including a significant enabling development of 390+ houses on Winstanley’s largest Greenbelt space is being marketed as a restoration of the hall. This is a misrepresentation!
The hall and surrounding buildings will have a ‘facade’ renovation, with internal structures removed and converted into private flats. These will NOT be accessible to the general public.
